Short Mat Triples and Rinks Competitions
Rinks
The club short mat Fours competition took place on Saturday 21st January, with five teams participating.
The winners were Team A comprising John Banks, Les Dale, Tony Quinn, and Mick Dickson.
Runners up were Team B comprising Mike Cox, Annette Healey, Ray Olver, and Judy Hughes

Triples
The club short mat triples competition took place on Saturday 4th March.
Congratulations go to Team H (L. Dale, T. Quinn and M, Tredinnick) on winning the competition. Not only did they comprehensively win the final, they are the only team to win every match that they played in the league stage. Congratulations also go to Team B (Mr M. Jones, S. Gibson and A. Healy) who were the runners up on the day with their route simplified in the last league game due to a draw between Teams A & G.

Thank you to all that took part and ensured that the day ran smoothly(ish) and also for helping set the club up for a subsequent meeting.

On a final note, congratulations go to Tony Quinn, who has won the Short Mat Triples and Rinks this year. As one of the less experienced players on the day, it reflects on his bowling and the fact that anyone with any amount of experience can win in these two competitions; a great advertisement for the sport
